Very nice state park! Big and sprawling, with running trails and campgrounds. Large beach, though it was a little rocky in 2017. Hopefully the sand quality improves and the water levels go down in 2018!

On the beach in Angola! Most of the year it’s free to go down to the beach. They have picnic shelters and camping spot too! Lots of hiking, birdwatching, frisbee golf course through the woods! Lots of deer and wildlife everywhere. Year round cabin rentals. I think there only a couple here. We spend a lot of time just roaming around with wilderness.

We went to the beach today, and a good time was had by all. The beach looked different than the website photo. There were some rusty pipes there, free for the taking! I couldn't detect any foul odors. My 18 month granddaughter couldn't wait to get in the water. Then she tasted the sand and went streaking. Dead fish bobbed gaily by regularly, but were small in number compared to the amount that the lake must hold. Perspective!

Went today for the first time. Partly cloudy, not so hot and it's a weekday so it wasn't crowded. We stayed inside the marked area where the kids could go out pretty far and still be in waist deep. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Lifeguards on duty. First aid station. $6 to park. Lots of rocks in the sand and water. It was a very nice beach. I plan to go back a few more times. We only went to the beach so we didn't look for or see what the rest of the park had to offer.

Snowshoeing hare was excellent. Walked the shore ice and all over the place. Scenic lake Erie was the backdrop for the hike.
